Body jolts awake…
Hey, hey Demo Nation! Have you heard?
An industrial synthwave genius, Runestomper’s new single Trials, Pt 1 is releasing on 11/16! I hear you squealing with anticipation. It was an honor to hear this song before the release date. It was every bit as auditory stimulating as his other songs. They can be found here.
The song starts out with a pounding bass that you can feel right in the heart. Soon we are spoiled with an electric piano beat, which teleports us to a ship floating through space. Twisting and turning metal corridors bring us to a room full of sleep pods. A set of eyes flutter close and into the dream we go.
Calm vocals lend to the over arching science fiction feel that Runestomper is phenomenal at creating. In between the phase of lyrics, there is a series of robotic beeps – more like screams. Is this what our dreamer is hearing? Experiencing some sort of robot war or genocide? The bass speeds up, as our heart pounds harder at the sight. The sounds.
Then, they wake up, just for it to start all over again. Trials, Pt 1 is just over 3 minutes long but does it take us on a long journey. I am also anticipating a part 2. I gotta know what happens to the dreamer! What kind of journey is next?
